It is truly unfortunate that some individuals feel the need to try and gain attention by habitually lying and making false claims. It is unfortunate that I was finally forced to take time away from the front line of the fight against geoengineering in order to set the record straight. Mr. Jim Lee has repeatedly claimed that he was the sole producer of a climate engineering patents list in 2011. Mr. Lee further claimed that GeoengineeringWatch.org “stole” his patents list in 2012. Both of Mr. Lee’s claims are blatant lies.

Geoengineering Watch completely upgraded our website in 2012, and thus the link to our current patents list carries a 2012 date. But when does the record confirm that the GeoengineeringWatch.org patents list were first posted? February 1st of 2010, a full year BEFORE Mr. Lee claims to have put together his list. How can this be proven when the earlier GeoengineeringWatch.org website and link were taken down in 2012? The archival link below is proof positive of the GeoengineeringWatch.org posting of a patents list on February 1st, 2010.

Next, Mr. Lee filed a completely bogus copyright claim in a malicious attempt to have the GeoengineeringWatch.org website pulled down. Mr. Lee’s claim was so fraudulent and transparent that the claim was removed within a matter of hours by Go Daddy. Hello Chris, this copyright claim is 100% fraudulent, a letter from our attorneys will be sent to GO DADDY (via your email address) this evening in order to resolve this issue.  Until our attorneys response is sent this evening, the following points are for the record 1st.  All US patents are public information and cannot be copyrighted. 2nd. GeoengineeringWatch.org has kept a running list of relevant climate engineering patents (in chronological order) since the establishment of our website in 2009. 3rd. The GeoengineeringWatch.org patents list does not match the complainant's list because our records were not taken from him as he has falsely claimed. 4th. The complainant has perjured himself by filing this claim and in doing so has publicly harmed the legitimate efforts and operations of GeoengineeringWatch.org  5th. After resolving Mr. Lee's fraudulent copyright claim with GO DADDY, our attorneys will be contacting Mr. Lee about the legal liability his actions have generated. AGAIN, AS ALREADY CITED ABOVE, GEOENGINEERINGWATCH.ORG WAS ABLE TO RECOVER INDISPUTABLE PROOF OF OUR PATENTS LIST BEING POSTED ON FEBRUARY 1ST, 2010, OVER A YEAR BEFORE JIM LEE CLAIMS TO HAVE CREATED HIS LIST IN 2011. THIS EVIDENCE IS ABSOLUTE PROOF THAT JIM LEE IS (AND HAS BEEN), BLATANTLY LYING. PERHAPS WE SHOULD ASK THE QUESTION, WHO IS ACTUALLY PLAGIARIZING WHOSE WORK?
